Sheffield Mind - Counselling and Psychotherapy Service
At Sheffield Mind, we are proud to be one of the longest-established providers of mental health services in the city. For over 45 years, we have been offering high-quality counselling and psychotherapy, and we remain committed to providing a professional and accessible service for those who need support.
With the exception of our Revive service, all our counselling and therapy services are free of charge.
Please Note: Due to high demand, we occasionally have to close our waiting lists for one or more of our counselling services. If you're interested in receiving counselling and our waiting list is currently closed, we recommend:
- Speaking to your GP about alternative support options
- Visiting the Sheffield Mental Health Guide for information on other local services.
Group Art Therapy offers a supportive and creative space where individuals come together to explore thoughts and feelings through art-making. You don’t need any previous experience of art-making—it's not about creating a masterpiece, but about using the creative process to express yourself, reflect, and connect with others.
Creating art can also be grounding and relaxing, helping to calm the nervous system and bring a sense of focus and presence. Guided by a qualified art therapist, the group encourages emotional expression, personal insight, and shared understanding, helping members feel supported and less alone.
Safe Space - counselling for survivors of domestic abuse:*Please note that we are closed to referrals at the moment.
