Health and Wellbeing
Health & Wellbeing Coaches
Looking for support and information to achieve your own health and wellbeing goals? At Shipshape our health and wellbeing coach can offer you one-to-one support with one of our 6 Health Trainers.
Health and wellbeing coach offer clients 6-8 free one-to-one sessions. Together HWC and client assess the client's health and wellbeing needs and goals. They can then offer appropriate support, advice and information to achieve them.
Health and wellbeing coaches are available at ShipShape Centre and at various GP Surgeries for appointments. To access the Health and wellbeing coach service, you can self-refer by contacting ShipShape directly or ask your GP or another agency to get in contact on your behalf.
Weight, Height, BMI, and Blood pressure checks available.

Diabetes education and self-management programme.
Free 4 week programme about diabetes self-management including healthy eating information for Pre-diabetics & people with type 2 diabetes. 2 programmes a year. Contact ShipShape for future dates and times.
Cooking with Diabetes:
Cook along with our health and wellbeing coach where you can get involved in our diabetes food stations. Covering carbohydrate awareness & recipe swapping. 2 programmes a year. Contact ShipShape for future dates and times.
Men’s Diabetes Cafe
Information and exercise Session for Men with Diabetes and/or at risk. Covering how to manage & keep well.
2 café’s a year.

Mens Health and wellbeing Open day
A community group for men to socialise, play board games and get active. Guest speakers, health checks and More
Monday’s 11am -1pm

Men’s Fun Fridays
a friendly session for men to connect and play games: gold, darts, Pool and boxing. Light lunch and hot drinks available free of charge.

RECONNECT Community Café
Men’s Only - A drop in for people affected by Dementia. 1 hour chair-based exercise session, walking cricket, chair based & walks. Guest Speakers

Women Only Session for Carers & people with Dementia to connect and enjoy a variety of physical activities.
