SignHealth Domestic Abuse Service
We provide the only domestic abuse service that specialises in supporting deaf people. We provide support across England.
Everybody we work with has their own dedicated worker. This worker will create a safety and support plan by assessing your support needs and by discussing the things you want to happen. Having this plan allows you to understand what is in place to keep you safe.
We can offer support and advice linked to housing, children, therapy and the legal system. Your dedicated worker can also work with you when dealing with other agencies such as the police.
We also provide prevention workshops in schools, colleges, and within the deaf community. Our staff are working to raise awareness amongst young deaf people using BSL, as we believe this information should be shared in their first language.
Our text helpline is open on Monday to Fridays - 9.30am to 4.30pm
