The Corner - drug and alcohol support for young people
The Corner is Sheffield's commissioned young people's substance misuse service. We are an inclusive service and provide confidential and non-judgemental support and treatment to young people under 18 in the Sheffield area who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol.
We also provide advice and information to family members, carers and significant others who may be worried about or affected by a young person's substance misuse.
We can support parents and carers, deliver group work and training for professionals and also offer a prescribing service.
The core of our work at The Corner is to provide a full assessment, harm reduction and treatment service for substance misuse problems and deliver structured 1-1 sessional work as well as group work for young people and others working directly with young people throughout Sheffield.
Anyone working with young people within our city can access support free of charge and we offer a flexible and accessible service and accept telephone and online referrals directly from young people, family members/concerned others and professionals. We are happy to offer that client support at our city-centre base, schools, colleges, homes or any other suitable venue.
At The Corner, we offer a prescribing treatment and harm reduction centred service to young people experiencing problems with opiates.
We also support access to the needle exchange service and offer harm reduction advice to clients who are injecting drugs.
The Telephone advice and information service The Corner offers to clients, their families and workers is confidential and free.
