Staffing arrangements/training to support children or young people with SEND
At GSL Education, we provide experienced, well-trained staff to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our approach includes:
Team Teach Training : Our staff are trained in Team Teach, which equips them with safe and effective strategies for managing challenging behavior. One of our lead recruiters is a certified Team Teach tutor, which ensures all our staff are well-prepared to support children with SEND in positive and supportive ways.
Specialist Skills for SEND : Our staff have expertise in working with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD), and Learning Disabilities (LD). This means they can adapt their support to each young person’s unique needs.
Safeguarding Focus : We have a designated safeguarding lead to ensure that all children and young people are safe and well-supported. Our staff are fully vetted to meet CQC and OFSTED standards, giving you confidence in our commitment to safeguarding.
Flexible Support : To maintain consistent care, we offer staffing for long days, waking nights, and sleeper shifts, so that children with SEND have continuous support whenever they need it.
Ongoing Training : Our team stays up-to-date with the latest practices in SEND support and receives regular training to ensure they’re equipped to meet each child’s evolving needs.
