At St Thomas’ Nursery, our commitment is to provide a loving, safe and stimulating environment for your children, allowing them to achieve their full potential. Within our setting children flourish; developing greater independence and establishing happy and healthy relationships with friends.

  • Flexible term time care for children aged 2-5 years

  • Private, secure outdoor play area with mud kitchen,water pump,large sand pit,flowers,vegetable and fruit growing areas,pebble play area,loose parts
  • Regular trips and visits, as well as range of visitors to Nursery to enhance children’s learning experience

Open term times only. Autumn Term 2025  Mondays : morning only 9am -12pm , optional lunchtime 12-1pm , Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 9-3pm (9-12, 12-3 including lunchtime) No Friday session available this term

Eligibility criteria for your service and any priority groups

The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) oversees all curriculum planning for learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN). All children are treated as individuals, and activities are provided for all differing abilities.  The Nursery is always willing to adapt routines and offer support in order to enable all learners to access the curriculum. We offer an additional language support group for those with speech and language difficulties or delay.

  • The two rooms the nursery uses and the outside area are wheelchair accessible. 
  • There are disabled toilet facilities. 
  • We use visual timetables with learners. 
  • Equipment to support learners is either created by nursery staff, or acquired from specialist support services. 
  • There are quiet spaces in the Nursery room, which children can access at all times.
