Burnt Tree Croft Residential Care Home
People choose Burnt Tree Croft as it feels homely; it’s a really small close knit team. A lot of the staff live locally and understand our community, staff tend to stay a long time, we’ve even got two staff who’ve been here 40 years. We can give consistency - it’s the same members of staff working here, and there’s always company.
We’re in a good location, set back off the main road. We’re very convenient for public transport, we’re on a tram route, you can walk to a cafe at the bottom of the road and the chip shop, and there’s a Tesco only 5 minutes walk away. We’re only 15 minutes walk from Weston Park Gardens. Here at Burnt Tree our residents live across three floors, we care for people living with dementia on two levels and we have residential care on the other. Altogether we have six lounges; there’s a main lounge on every floor plus a smaller quieter lounge on every floor. Everyone uses them, it’s very sociable, people can spend time in the communal areas or in their room. Some people prefer a quieter way of living, they might spend more time in their room watching what they want on TV, a handful of residents choose to eat in their rooms – it’s completely up to them. We’ve got a large living area on the ground floor which we use for activities, entertainment, and parties. We overlook the Ponderosa park, we’ve got a little courtyard garden and a small patio at the front where people can sit and watch the world go by – it’s a real sun trap.
