Burnt Tree Croft Residential Care Home

At Burnt Tree Croft, we work hard to create a warm, welcoming home where everyone feels part of a close community. Many of our staff live nearby and know the area well, and some have worked with us for over 40 years! This means our residents see the same friendly faces every day, which brings comfort and stability.

Our location is also very convenient. We’re just off the main road but close to public transport, with a tram stop nearby. Residents can easily walk to a café, a chip shop, and a Tesco, and Weston Park Gardens is only a 15-minute walk away. Our home is spread across three floors, with dementia care on two floors and general residential care on another. We have six lounges—a main lounge and a quieter one on each floor—so residents can choose between socializing with others or enjoying some peaceful time alone. They can also relax in their own rooms if they prefer.

On the ground floor, we have a large space where we hold activities, entertainment, and parties. We overlook Ponderosa Park, and there’s a small courtyard garden and a sunny patio out front where residents can sit and watch the world go by.

Meals here are freshly made every day, with several choices for each meal. Residents can enjoy a cooked breakfast daily if they like, and we cater to different diets. Our kitchen team prepares traditional dishes, but they’re also happy to make something special if a resident has a favorite meal. For example, one resident loves curries, so the kitchen team makes it for him, and sometimes others want to try it too! We bring around a snack trolley three times a day, offering treats like chocolate, fruit, yogurts, and drinks, including decaf options to help reduce falls. Alcohol is also available if residents want it.

Our residents enjoy plenty of activities, from trips to Cleethorpes and local parks to visits to the Weston Park Museum. We have two activity coordinators who organize crafts, games, and even a weekly “Knit and Natter” club. Residents love visits from local schoolchildren, which create meaningful connections between generations.

As part of Sheffcare, we are committed to offering quality care at a fair price for those funding their own care. We believe our home provides great value, with affordable rates compared to other care homes in the city.

Provides residential, dementia and respite care. The home has 40 beds.
