Tunhill House is a registered residential service supporting adults over the age of 18. The home has the capacity for four people and currently supports two males and one female (ages ranging from late 20s to 30s).

Situated in a lovely part of Ecclesfield, with lots of open space and close to local shops, pubs and parks, with a leisure centre approximately one mile from the house.  The bus route goes into the town centre, which is currently undergoing a re-vamp and we are close to Meadow Hall and all its amenities and enjoy easy access to the motorway, which connect us to Barnsley, Doncaster and Leeds.   

The people living at Tunhill House have lived there for many years and are supported by a long-standing staff team who know them well. They all enjoy being active members of their community, and are supported to develop and maintain their independent living skills.

The staff team has experience supporting people with a range of diagnosis: Autistic spectrum disorder, William’s syndrome, Learning difficulties and epilepsy. There is a level of challenging behaviour displayed and staff have the appropriate MAYBO training to support this. Restraint is not used within the service; challenging behaviour is managed well by a staff team that know the individuals and are able to deescalate situations appropriately. Some behaviours can be directed at others and low level damage of the environment can take place.

Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, each offering shower facilities. There is also a shared bathroom for anyone who would prefer a bath instead of a shower. The house offers a communal living room, dining area, kitchen and large garden at the rear.   There is one bedroom on the ground floor and three bedrooms on the first floor accessed by a flight of stairs. The room that is vacant is on the first floor. The room is ready to be occupied immediately.
