Sheffield High School for Girls' aim is to develop confident, resilient and aspirational young women. From concerts, plays, business challenges and sports competitions to partnerships within the local community and international visits – girls are provided with opportunities throughout their school life, which enable them to develop their interests and passions.

The school caters for girls and boys aged 3 and 4 in its pre-school. From the Infant School through to the Sixth Form (ages 4-18) the school is girls only. Sheffield Girls’ is non-selective in the Infant and Junior School. From Year 7 all pupils must sit an entrance test to gain a place at the school.
