Gleadless Valley Tenants and Residents Association (GV TARA) runs social activities for the community. Also organises an annual coach trip and a children's Easter and Christmas parties.

The TARA campaigns on issues to benefit the community such as housing issues or environmental matters affecting the Gleadless Valley Estate. Works to improve the physical conditions of the area, campaigns for better facilities and aims to improve and foster a sense of community in the area.

The office is based at 7 Plowright Close, S14 and activities are held at the Terry Wright Community Hall, S2.

GV TARA promotes a better relationship with Sheffield City Council Housing Services and the tenants in the area. It campaigns on issues to benefit the community such as housing issues or environmental matters affecting the estate. The TARA works together to improve the physical conditions of where they live, campaign for better facilities or create or improve the sense of community.
