Woodhouse Nursery
Nursery offering childcare and education for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years in a safe and stimulating environment. We have four childcare rooms with a highly qualified and dedicated staff team to support children from differing backgrounds to achieve the best they can in their overall development and well-being. We are open 8am until 6pm weekdays all year through and only close on bank holidays. We have an extensive outdoor space that is inclusive for all our children, where children can discover and build on their natural curiosity.
We offer funded places during term time only and non funded places all year round. Critera needs to be met to access government funded places.
We have won many awards and have been accredited outstanding for a Hyggi Flagship Nursery, which means children's well being and nurture is the focus of how children learn.
We have good relationships with our local commuinty and schools and work with our local retirement village connecting young and eldery partnerships.

Our nursery is fully inclusive welcomes families from various cultures, religions and differing backgrounds. We are fully supportive with children with additional or complex needs.
Our setting as a brilliant outside area and this forms a large part of children's learning as they will access this in all weathers.
We have a great teaching team who have many strengths and qualifications that enable us to offer an extensive and comprehensive curriculum. Children's well being is at the centre of all we do.
We have been awarded outstanding for Tiny Hands Big Futures Flagship Nursery Accreditation which aims to embed the 'hygge' principles providing babies and children opportunities and experiences to explore different ways of thinking, constructing, negotiating, problem-solving, engineering, creating and developing.
The nursery has received the Gold Award for the 'Best Start' project which cements our approach for physical and emotional wellbeing.
We have our gold award from ESCAL which means we are offering a literacy and language rich environment to support children's early language development.
The nursery manager is a great advocate for Early Years and will support the sector at every opportunity.
The nursery environment is a delightful space throughout its many areas both inside and outside allowing children to gain different learning opportunities using both sensory and loose part materials and resources. We believe children are natural explorers and we provide open ended, natural and real resources to support children's curiosty and wonder.
Our outisde nurture lodge and outside sensory room is a provison that all children benefit from. Our nursery SENDco works closely with our dedicated small intervension team to deliver structured support to indivduals and targets group learning.
