MASKK Holiday Playcare

MASKK have been providing after school childcare for over 20 years, and our childcare is low in price but aims to be high in quality. MASKK were last inspected by Ofsted in August 2021 with the opening remark from the inspector "Children play happily together in this stimulating and welcoming club". See our full Ofsted Report HERE

MASKK is a Playwork setting, meaning the environment, sessions and activities are planned/prepared around the requests and needs of the children and young people attending including the use of toys, loose parts, games, arts and crafts, outdoor visits to park, baking etc.

During the spring and summer periods we often visit other local community buildings and events as well as parks and green spaces to enjoy the outdoors and engage our children with the wider community. We are committed to not only care for the children but support their integration with their community.

Our typical school holiday week looks like:
Mondays: We have a community gathering! Inviting children as part of the Sheffield Healthy Holiday HAF Programme. A very active (and loud) day with up to 45 children.
Tuesdays: We get out and about, often using buses but lots of walking too. Potentially visiting busy places.
Wedensdays: We have a messy day, welcoming children from our SNIPS Short Breaks group who enjoy sensory stimuation.
Thursdays: We play... an entirer day led by the children and young people and letting them play. Although our fab team will have some interesting arts/crafts/games etc going on for those who prefer.
Fridays: We play... an entirer day led by the children and young people and letting them play. Although our fab team will have some interesting arts/crafts/games etc going on for those who prefer. We also aim to get outdoors and potentially muddy or wet!

MASKK provide a morning and afternoon snack (with fruit and drinks availiable all day), but children will need a packed lunch. If children could also bring a spare change of clothes that would be great too.
