I am 29 years old and come from Sheffield and live opposite Meersbrook park with my extended family and my husband who all work in education, I originally trained as a chef in London and then took a side step and worked in nurseries across london for a while which I greatly enjoyed. I then came back home to Sheffield and trained as an Ayurvedic practitioner (Indian herbal medicine) and massage therapist which I still do part time.
Along with my Ayurveda work I have always done work with children, some of this has included: being a healthy start mentor working with new families coping with behavioural and health challenges, working with young vulnerable girls teaching cooking at ‘together women’, volunteering as a mentor with Zest and spending time with a vulnerable child once a week and being a regular baby sitter for friends and family with small children. I adore children and am very pleased to now have my own 6 month year old daughter. Iam also well read on childrens development including (montessory baby, delusions of gender, free to learn and hold on to your kids).

I would like to continue looking after my daughter and becoming a child minder seems a great way to do this whilst also getting to spend time with and get to know some other children. Although I know there are a lot of great nurseries around I would love to childmind as it will give me the opportunity to get to know each child on a much deeper level and support them with their development whilst watching thier personalities grow!
My baby is a sensitive little bean and has also had a few health issues so far which has made me extra aware and understanding of these things in other children. I would hate for her to go into a setting where her needs and unique personality wasn’t closely considered and cherished everyday. I would love the opportunity to do this for other children.

I am hoping to take on two additional children under 5 years old for now and can take them up to three days a week, preferably Monday- Wednesday but this can be discussed.

My price will be £6 per hour  This includes: Nappies, clothes washing for clothes that get dirty in the day, developmental reviews and lots of outside time, music time, story time and free play).
