When you choose Sheffield Mind, you’ll have a dedicated person who looks after your case from start to finish. They’ll be your main point of contact, so you always know who to speak to. We can also visit you at home during the setup stage to help get everything organised and make sure you feel comfortable with how it all works.

We offer the following affordable local services for people receiving a Direct Payment from Sheffield City Council:

We’ll manage your Direct Payment for you — paying invoices to support providers and wages for self-employed PAs. Your funds are kept safe and handled properly, so you don’t have to worry about day-to-day admin.

We take care of all the paperwork involved in employing PAs — including payroll processing, HMRC and auto-enrolment paperwork, year-end returns, and managing new starters or leavers. You can use this service on its own or together with a Managed Account. We will talk to you about different ways of making it easy for you (for example submitting time-sheets via WhatsApp, email, etc).

Your Support Plan Coordinator will work directly with Sheffield City Council to arrange for your Direct Payment to go into your Managed Account. We’ll make sure all the paperwork is completed, bills are paid on time, and any unexpected costs are looked into quickly.
