Out Aloud

Out Aloud is Sheffield's LGBT+ Choir. We sing together. We sing for others. We sing to promote well-being, confidence and belonging. We sing to be seen and heard. Our voices matter.

Free your voice and the rest will follow!

Building community through singing is what we do. The choir is a warm and friendly group made up of both new and experienced singers.  There are no auditions and you don't need to be able to read music, just able to carry a tune. We sing in four part harmony and members have access to audio files to help them learn their part. We perform in public regularly but you do not have to perform to be a member of the choir.

We welcome anyone who is over 18 and identifies as LGBT+.  We have weekly term-time rehearsals on Wednesdays 19:30 - 21:30, plus an annual residential weekend.

The choir is very popular and we can't take everyone who wants to join. We are currently full up, so we have a waiting list. If you would like to join our waiting list please complete the Contact form. It can take a long time before a place becomes available but we will keep in touch with you by email.

Members pay a subscription and there is a sliding scale to suit different incomes.
