Frecheville Library and Learning Centre

We are a community library in Sheffield. We have been managed and run by volunteers since September 2014.

We offer a large selection of books to borrow and can also order in titles on request. We also offer computer access, printing, free Wi-Fi, photocopying and scanning.

Activities at the library:

We have a number of groups and activities that are available to everyone – you do not need to be a library member to join in. All groups are free (unless stated) but there may be a small charge for drinks. If you would like to start a group or activity, please get in touch.

Monday 
10.30 – 11.30am – Babytime (term time only)
Meet Up Mondays - 2.00 to 4.30pm. Free refreshments, board games, colouring, jig saws and someone to talk too

Wednesday 
10.30am – 12noon – Knit and Natter (small charge – please ask before joining as spaces are limited)

Crafting and Chatting – Every 2nd Wednesday of the month. 5.30 to 7.30pm. There is a £2 charge includes drinks and biscuits/cake.

Litter Picking – 11am every week (weather permitting) Meet outside the library.

Thursday
Yoga – Fully booked

Gardening Session – 2 to 4pm – All welcome. Please bring gardening gloves if you have them.

Friday 10.30 – 11.30am – Writing Group (1st and 3rd Friday of the month)

10-30 – 11.30am Reading Group (3rd Friday of the month)

3-30 – 4.30pm Lego Club – Ages 6 and above – Duplo is available for younger children

3.30 – 4.30pm Chess Club for children – all ages and abilities

Saturday 
10.30am Craft Table

10am – 12noon Police Surgery with PCSO Roger Shalome – check for dates

11am – 12noon Local Councillors Surgery Birley Ward (3rd Saturday in the month).

Opening Hours – Monday 10am-1pm & 2.00-5.00pm, Thursday  3.00-5.00pm,  Friday 10am-12noon & 1-5pm, Saturday 10am-12noon & 2-4pm.
