We had a brilliant photoshoot a few years ago as part of a campaign to showcase breastfeeding across our city. The images helped show real families and real experiences, and supported positive messages about breastfeeding in public.
Now we’re excited to invite more Sheffield families to join our new Breastfeeding in Public photoshoot.
This is a great chance to be part of something special and help show and celebrate breastfeeding across Sheffield, in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Breastfeeding parents in Sheffield are very welcome to join. You can bring your children, along with your partner, parents, grandparents or another support person.
We are also keen to include partners, dads and support people, to show the important role they play in supporting breastfeeding.
The photoshoots will be relaxed and friendly, with a professional female photographer. A trained Infant Feeding Peer Support Worker will also be there to support you during the session.
Photos will include you breastfeeding your baby, but we will always make sure your comfort and modesty are respected.
As a thank you for taking part, you will receive a copy of some of the photos taken on the day.
You can choose the time and place that works best for you.
The aim of the photoshoot is to help normalise and celebrate breastfeeding in everyday spaces by capturing natural, real-life images of Sheffield families.
We also want to show the wider support around breastfeeding, including the different experiences of partners, dads and family members, and the important role they play in supporting parents.
These images help create more welcoming and supportive messages for families across Sheffield.
