Crucial Crew

Most Year 6 pupils in South Yorkshire also access a programme called Crucial Crew at the Lifewise Centre at Hellaby. This is a scenario-based learning facility with a film-set environment, where children can learn about safety (e.g. road safety, fire safety, online safety) in a realistic setting. All primary and special schools, Pupil Referral Units and Learning Centres in South Yorkshire are invited to attend Crucial Crew. The Centre also holds and arranges bespoke events for community groups or organisations that work with vulnerable members of society.

Please note: Some children may find the Crucial Crew sessions challenging. It is important that Crucial Crew staff are made aware of children’s additional needs. You may want to discuss the content of the session with your child’s school to ensure that it is suitable for your child, and check that the school have passed on important information about your child’s needs.
