This session has a neurodivergent focus and is for parents and carers of children aged over 1 year who have a diagnosis, are awaiting assessment or have sensory difference and have difficulty with sleeping. It will be live session and run by Sheffield Parent Hub and Sheffield Sensory Service.
The session will cover:
- links between Neurodivergence and sleep difficulties
- how much sleep children need
- stages of sleep and the sleep cycle
- sleep habits and problems
- foods that help with sleep
- information on sensory processing and how this may impact on sleep
- how to make changes to the sleep environment
- examples of a good sleep routine
- time for questions
We will be delivering the session via Microsoft Teams, joining instructions will be given once you have booked in. Please ensure that you have downloaded the Microsoft Teams app prior to the session.
