There are lots of adaptive equipment to help maintain your independence in your daily hygiene tasks.

Equipment you may want to consider include

  • using long handed brushes or sponge to reduce bending and reaching
  • using a utensil holder strap on your hand can assist you to grip items such as a toothbrush
  • using weighted cuffs to reduce the effect of hand tremors
  • consider bottom wipers if you have difficulty reaching behind you for personal cleaning.
