Free Standing Toilet Frames
Free Standing Toilet Frames can be positioned around the toilet with no fixing to support you lowering yourself onto the toilet and pushing up from sitting.
They are usually able to be adjusted in height and some adjust in width. They have padded arms.
Raised Toilet Seats
A raised toilet seat can be installed to your existing toilet pan to raise the height of the seat.
They usually come in 2", 4", and 6" options.
Some come with padding, seat lids, or arms to assist rising from sitting.
Combined Toilet Seat and Frame
This equipment combines a raised toilet seat and the surround frame to increase the seat height and to offer support standing and sitting from the toilet.
Rails
Grabrails can be installed to provide additional support when getting on and off the toilet.
There are a range of rails available which can be installed including diagonal rails on the wall next to the toilet, drop down rails which can be positioned at the side of the toilet.
Grabrails can come in various lengths and styles.
Wash Dry Toilets
Should you have difficulties cleaning yourself after using the toilet due to restricted movement or reduced hand function you may wish to consider a toilet that washes and dries you.
There are different manufacturers on the market. Some products attach to your existing toilet others require the installation of a new toilet with these integrated functions.
Things to Consider
Check manufacturer installation instructions to ensure they equipment will fit to or around your toilet.
If you are installing rails ensure they are fitted securely to the wall.
It is important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and observe weight limits.
