The Local Offer has lots of information and services. This supports children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities aged 0-25.  It includes:

  • services and advice provided by the Local Authority.
  • services and advice provided by the health service.
  • services provided by the voluntary and private sectors.

Extra information is available for young adults. The Sheffield Local Offer offers advice to help young people make choices.  Advice about things that are important to them, such as:

  • where to live
  • transport
  • social activities
  • work and training
  • moving into adulthood.

Who is it for?

The Local Offer is for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND, as well as the young people themselves.

It is also a resource that individuals, groups or organisations can draw on in the work that they do in supporting children, young people and their families.  It highlights other resources, services or guidance that may be accessed.
